What is an Integrated Energy Master Plan?
GEM/Kofler will work closely with you to develop a 15- to 20-year Integrated Energy Master Plan. Our long-term strategy bundles energy-saving measures into steps for short-term, mid-term and long-term implementation. This approach of breaking down strategic long-term objectives into sub-tasks lets you track results, make adjustments and avoid “wasted” investments.
Our Integrated Energy Master Plan:
- Identifies a baseline which shows the current energy situation.

- Business-As-Usual (BAU) in which nothing is changed.
- Incremental Improvements, such as one building, measure or plant at a time.
- Developed Target, which reduces short- to mid-term energy consumption and cost, and mitigates long-term energy and environmental cost risk.
- Provides a holistic strategy for the energy system that will achieve these targets, including a strategic investment plan, and a monitoring and controlling system.
